PSS Scaffolding was responsible for providing scaffolding services for a resurfacing project at the Millennium Footbridge in Cardiff. The project was part of a local maintenance programme that took place from September to December 2013.
The goal of the project was to replace the old surfacing with a new Traffideck anti-slip system to ensure the safety of the public using the bridge. The Millennium Footbridge is an important crossing over the river Taff, connecting Bute Park and Sophia Gardens in Cardiff city centre.
To prepare the bridge for the new surfacing, the old deck surfacing was mechanically removed, and PSS Scaffolding provided the scaffolding needed for the job. The new Traffideck multi-layer, waterproofing, and non-slip surfacing system were then installed to provide the most secure and dependable results.
